Energy Ratings

is certified in Florida to provide Energy Ratings. An energy rating provides a standard evaluation of a home's energy efficiency and expected energy costs. The evaluation is conducted in accordance with uniform standards and includes a detailed home energy use assessment.

Your Benefits

will provide you with a thorough analysis of your home’s energy use (or potential home), including the Home Energy Rating Systems (HERS) score. We will also provide recommendations on how to improve the energy efficiency of your home.

Energy Star Certification

is a proud partner of ENERGY STAR and is able to certify eligible homes as ENERGY STAR qualified.

ENERGY STAR was created to help consumers easily identify products, homes, and buildings that save energy and money, and help protect the environment. As the government-backed, trusted symbol for energy efficiency, the ENERGY STAR label identifies highly efficient products and designates superior energy performance in homes and buildings.

Costs

prides itself on providing competitively priced energy ratings and offers free custom quotes. Typical energy ratings range in cost from $200 - $600 and depend on the size and location of the home. Contact e2 Homes for a quote.

Performance Testing

One of the most important aspects of an Energy Rating is the performance testing of the HVAC ductwork. The purpose of a performance test is to check for leaks in the ductwork and determine the air-tightness of the duct system. The test is conducted with the use of specialized equipment and shows the percentage of air that leaks from the duct system. Any leakage in the duct system wastes energy and can decrease the air quality in the home. Performance testing is the ONLY way to determine the air-tightness of the duct system.
